OUR MISSION: Jeremiah’s Child is a community-based ministry offering dignity to families who are in crisis as a result of imprisonment, illness or death by providing temporary alternative care and housing for their children up to the age of 5. The children are placed into safe and secure Christ-centered homes insuring that no child will be unnecessarily placed into the custody of the state due to the temporary incapacity of their loving parent(s).

OUR HISTORY: A Chosen Child, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit child-placing agency since 2001, founded on Christian principles, which provides comprehensive adoption services primarily in the Central Florida area. Our Executive Director, Patricia L. Strowbridge, Esq., has participated in literally hundreds of adoptions over her 18 year career here in Orlando.

While working in the area of adoption, God directed us to see beyond the realm we knew. Having numerous opportunities to go to minister to families in need within our own community, and while visiting the local jails and prisons, we realized, without a doubt, that the Lord was calling us to expand beyond our current borders and take care of His children. We already knew how to find homes for children whose parents were permanently unable to care for them, but we needed to reach those whose parents were only temporarily unable to do so. Thus, the vision for Jeremiah’s Child was born.
